A very special place for us indeed. Madagascar was where we spent our honeymoon, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate. This spot in particular, the Avenue du Baobab, was perhaps the only place where we found other tourists.

Baobab Avenue Morondava, more than 800 years old, known locally as renala (Malagasy for “mother of the forest”), become a legacy of the dense tropical forests that flourished in Madagascar. Trees did not grow in isolation in this dry and bushy landscape. They however, remain a part of a dense forest that has now disappeared.
